2022 Maruti Baleno: Which variant offers what?

The all-new second-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno is finally unveiled with all the variants and prices out now. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Sigma

Price: Rs 6.35 lakh (MT)

The base-spec Sigma variant of the new Baleno is available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Sigma variant now misses out on body-coloured door handles and rearview mirrors and instead gets a basic black finish for them. But it is better equipped this time, as it now gets halogen projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, instrument console with tachometer and monochrome MID, all-four power windows, remote central locking, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, automatic climate control and rear defogger.

It also gets a Nexa safety shield, which is standard across all the variants and comprises dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist and reverse parking sensors.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Delta

Price: Rs 7.19 lakh (MT), Rs 7.69 lakh (AMT)

The Delta variant of the new Baleno is also better-equipped than before. It is from this variant, in which you can have the transmission option of a 5-speed AMT. On the outside, this variant gets body-coloured door handles and rearview mirrors, blacked-out A and B pillars, wheel caps for 15-inch steel wheels, chrome garnish on the front grille and turn indicators on the outside rearview mirrors.

On the inside, this variant now comes with a 7-inch Smartplay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and four speakers, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, electrically adjustable and foldable rearview mirrors and rear parcel tray. The AMT variants also benefit from an electronic stability program and hill hold assist.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Zeta

Price: Rs 8.09 lakh (MT), Rs 8.59 lakh (AMT)

With this variant, Maruti Suzuki has made the Baleno even safer with additional side and curtain airbags, auto headlamps with follow-me function and a reverse camera. On the outside, the Baleno Zeta variant gets LED projector headlamps, 16-inch grey alloy wheels, rear wiper and chrome door handles.

Step in the cabin, and you get additional features like Smartplay Pro software for infotainment screen with voice commands and OTA updates, Suzuki Connect, Amazon Alexa assistant, rear AC vents, driver seat height adjustment, push start-stop button and telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel. It also gets a front centre armrest, 60:40 split rear seats, two tweeters, TFT MID in the instrument console, front footwell lamps and adjustable headrests in rear seats.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha

Price: Rs 8.99 lakh (MT), Rs 9.49 lakh (AMT)

The top-spec Alpha variant is ornamented with daytime running LEDs, LED fog lamps, 16-ich diamond-cut alloy wheels and UV cut glass. On the inside, one is welcomed by a bigger 9-inch Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise control, Arkamys sound system, head-up display, 360-degree parking camera and auto-foldable rearview mirrors.
