Brand new Maruti Ertiga repainted in BMW Sapphire Black shade looks good

Maruti Ertiga is one of the most affordable MUVs currently available in the Indian market. It is considered a value for money product and is popular among buyers from private and commercial sector. There are several types of customisations and modification options available for Maruti Ertiga in the market. Many of them have been featured on our website as well. One of the common type of modification that is normally seen on Ertiga is customised interiors but, here we have a brand new Maruti Ertiga that gets a custom paint job.

The video has been uploaded by BROTOMOTIV on their YouTube channel. In this video the vlogger talks about the whole process of how they changed the colour on a brand new Maruti Ertiga. The video explain how the process of painting a new car is different from the other restoration projects.

In this video, the owner of this Maruti Ertiga had brought this brand new MUV to the garage for repainting work. He wanted black shade on his Ertiga but, unfortunately Maruti does not offer this colour in the market. The original shade on this Maruti Ertiga was Magma grey. Vlogger gave them the option for both wrapping and repainting and the owner preferred repainting. He opted for Sapphire Black shade which is normally used in BMW vehicles.

The work on the Ertiga started and the team started removing all the panels like the front grille, bumper, headlamps, fog lamps, bonnet, front fenders, rear bumper, all doors and tailgate. As there were no dents or scratches on the car, there was no need for putty work or dent correction. The stock paint on the car was then sanded down and then the whole car was given a thorough wash to remove all the small particles from it. The interiors on this car were not taken down so the exposed parts were all covered in plastic sheets to protect them from paint while spray painting.

The car was then taken to the paint booth for painting process. The car was then completely painted in Sapphire Black. A coat of clear coat was also sprayed to give it a gloss finish. Every panel on the Ertiga was individually painted. The doors, bonnet, tailgate, bumper, spoiler, door handles every part was painted in the same shade. After painting, the car was left in the paint booth so that the paint dries out. The painting was done in the paint booth to achieve an even finish. After this, the paint was polished to bring out the gloss and once all the work was done, the Ertiga was looking entirely different.

It looked a lot more sporty and premium at the same time. A simple work like a paint job completely changed the overall look of the car. Vlogger mentions that in Maharashtra owners can apply for a colour change in RC if they want and the same can be changed in the RC but, he asked viewers to check with the local RTO before making such changes.
