The Ford Endeavour is also one of those SUVs which is frequently customized by a number of its owners, which enhance the butch appeal of the already muscular looking SUV. We have come across one such heavily customized Ford Endeavour, which is inspired by the big brute American full-size truck sold in the USA, the Ford F-150 Raptor. When the news of Ford pulling off the plug from locally manufacturing its vehicles in India broke out, it also broke many hearts, especially the admirers of the Blue Oval. While the American carmaker was having a hard time selling its compact offerings in India, its flagship SUV in India, the Ford Endeavour, was still selling in respectable numbers and giving a tough fight to the segment leader Toyota Fortuner.

Ford Endeavour Raptor on the roads

In a YouTube video uploaded by “CS 12 Vlogs”, we can see a few glimpses of a black Ford Endeavour with a customized front end running on the busy roads of Mumbai. The front profile of this heavily customized Ford Endeavour looks very much like that of the Ford F-150 Raptor, one of the most popular vehicles in the history of Ford in the USA.

The Ford F-150 Raptor is one of the highest-selling vehicles of the USA and comes with an intimidating looking front end with a massive grille with Ford lettering across it and big block-shaped LED headlamps with C-shaped daytime running LEDs. The Ford Endeavour seen in the video sports the same front look, which is increasing its road presence by multiple folds.

Apart from the butch looking front fascia of that of the F-150, the customized Ford Endeavour here also comes with revised lines on the bonnet and different looking front side fenders. These body panels have been restyled to accommodate the bigger fascia of the F-150. It also gets a different sleeker front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, a lift kit for the suspension, fatter tyres with added off-road appeal and blacked-out alloy wheels and tail lamps.

Conversion kits can be imported

Such types of Ford F-150 conversion kits are usually imported from Thailand and installed by a few after-market vehicle repairing shops and modifiers. While they do execute the job of enhancing the road presence of a vehicle effectively, such modification jobs are usually illegal in the rule books, as they significantly change the original form of the vehicle.

At the time of its discontinuation, the Ford Endeavour was available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 170 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque and was available with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The pre-facelift model was available with two choices of powertrains – a 2.2-litre four-cylinder 160 PS diesel and a 3.2-litre five-cylinder 200 PS diesel, both of which came with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
