Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest car manufacturer and they have a variety of products in their line-up. Maruti sells their passenger vehicles through Arena and Nexa dealerships. Nexa for the premium range of vehicles while Arena deals in regular models. One such MUV that Maruti sells via Nexa dealership is XL6. The premium MUV is actually based on the current generation Ertiga. Ertiga is considered a value for money product in its segment as it offers decent amount of features and space. Just like Ertiga, people have now started customising XL6 as well and here we have one such video.
The video has been uploaded by Rohit Mehta Sai Auto Accessories on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the exterior and interior customisation that has been done to the XL6 to make it look more premium. Starting with the front, there are front parking sensors installed on the car. The front grille, headlamps and fog lamps have not been changed as they were already LED units.
Coming to the side profile, the stock all black alloy wheels on the XL6 have been replaced with a 16 inch unit. This is Maruti Genuine alloy wheel which is offered as an accessory. There are GT Line decals on the side and there is a door beading as well. The windows now get clear heat rejection films and at the rear there are matte black plastic trims around the tail lamps. Other than this, it gets a roof mounted spoiler and the roof on this XL6 has been blacked out as well.
Moving in, the Maruti XL6 comes with an all-black interior from the factory. This has been changed to a dual tone finish. It now gets almond brown and black dual tone theme for the cabin. The car gets illuminated scuff plates on all doors, damping has been done on the doors and there are leather wraps on the door pads as well. The plastic trims on the dashboard and the door get grey marble finish.
The car now gets dual tone custom fit seat covers, 7D floor mats and ambient lights as well. The original touchscreen infotainment system from XL6 has been replaced with an aftermarket unit. The reason why the original system was replaced because the vlogger had installed 360 degree camera on this XL6. The video shows how clearly the cameras were showing the surrounding.
The system also supports Apple CarPlay and comes with in-built navigation and many more features. The speaker set up on this XL6 has been upgraded as well. With all these customisations, the cabin of the XL6 definitely feels upmarket and spacious than before. Maruti XL6 as mentioned above is actually a premium version of Ertiga. It is available with a petrol engine only. It is powered by a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 105 Ps and 138 Nm of peak torque. This engine is currently offered with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Maruti is currently working on a facelift for Ertiga and the same has been spotted testing couple of time. It will receive minor cosmetic changes and the 4-speed automatic transmission is likely to be replaced with a 6-speed unit. Maruti will also launch the 2022 Brezza and a facelift for XL6 will also be launched.
